Darth Nihilus, Thanks again, man! Appreciate the help! I think I've only been lucky. I'm stuck on lv 5 or 6 on all other "blue" missions, haha. mrmansterin, I've tried it once, but they bulldozed through my defenses and smashed my units (which were behind first line of defenses). I slowly get pushed back to Tehran, where they knock me out pretty quickly. Once the defences get breached, I'm done for. I tried to push them into the Caspian sea and snipe them while they are seaborne. I will try again with higher tech. One last question; Does Messe's 2 air-stars give a boost to aircraft carrier attacks? Or only his 1 star navy ability?

SandcrawlerII, all air stars boost carrier attacks. Although, carriers are actually not that great in this game. They're good, but cruisers will be more versatile.

Update on HTG IX, I finally passed it after 2 more tries with bunker defense. I'll wait with X until I have a navy gen + better tech. Do I have to finish both axis and allies in Europe to unlock pacific? Or just one of them? Should I focus on getting navy gen for pacific?

SandcrawlerII, you need to finish both the axis and allies campaign in Europe to unlock Pacific and Pacific is doable without a naval gen. BTW, what gens do you have?

Thanks!
Currently Leeb and Messe, but getting close to Guderian also.
One last question, lol; will I get any medals if I play the same conquest again (after getting the task reward)?

Thanks!
Do you guys think I should save up to Guderian or take the discount generals? I got both the British and Vienna generals down to 1300.

Rundstedt's a nice addition to any roster, but he's an infantry general so he's pretty much useless in anything besides conquests. Dowding's also alright, but you don't really need an air general until later on (Arnold is better anyway).

Finally got to 1943.
Will try to beat conquest with Brazil or Finland, so I get the 500 medal bonus. I assume the axis hold the upper hand here also?

I think it's a pretty equal contest but it's slightly easier for Allies (mainly cause the world record is with USSR). If you do Allies, you're gonna face tough competition from the start, but eventually the enemies will thin out if you survive the initial wave. If you do Axis, it's not gonna be bad at first but eventually enemy spam's gonna build up. So it's up to you I guess. I think Brazil's easier than Finland, but of course I've never tried Finland 1943.

They're good in the start, but will eventually get spammed by new entries into the war: Mexico, Cuba and Brazil. So I'd say by a sliver the Allies are favored in 1943. If you play as Finland, you'll have to defend Spain from those three countries because they almost always take A Coruna

I suggest USA for 3 star, I did Spain but you have to defeat spam for USSR and Poland and the little Balkan countries. The library suggests Canada or Spain for 2 star and I did Norway for 1 star in 1950. Norway may seem hard but it’s actually pretty easy after the first 20-30 turns.

european-war-4.boards.net/thread/8563/easiest-1-star-country-1950 Follow this guide for Norway. Btw, for the naval general for end game, I suggest getting Nimitz with 40% discount then selling it for Donitz when you have the medals. You get 80% of the medals back after you sell Nimitz. Nimitz is IMO nearly equal to Donitz when I upgraded. I suggest you just upgrade Fleet Leader and add Rumor to Nimitz. For the last slot, you can leave it empty to conserve medals or you can add explosives. Of course, you can just get Donitz and not use Nimitz at all, but I think Nimitz is a cheap version of Donitz.

I think Nimitz is still pretty useful for endgame, especially with 5 skills. But if you're really desperate on medals, go ahead. I still don't know who to sell Kuznetsov for tho, Arnold or Donitz.

Do you have Nimitz? Also, what is Arnold good at?
