France had better tech and arty than most nations in 1939. I'd say fort and arty defense or HP boost. I think in a conquest, France had a Maginot Line and his all fortresses, are 200-250 HP, 50-120 Damage. Well, I don't think was really borthered by these forts. As an inconvenience yes, but spam RA and FA & the Maginot Line falls very easily. |

Idea is good, but it would be very inaccurate, Japan had best navy, infantry and the kamikaze planes, Germany made best technology during the war, for many things equivalent were made only during cold war with help of captured German scientists and engineers+ Germans had the best generals and tactics until few mistakes were made during war that were mostly Hitlers madness. USSR was best at mass warfare, took a lot of unarmed men and sent them under heavy German firepower until Germans either run out of ammo or went nuts... UK RAF almost broke, Germans stopped one air battle too soon, that's what UK had left. USA, well their navy was very good indeed, but if you take a look to ships like Yamamoto and Bismarck, can you show me anything during ww2 that was capable of fighting directly one on one with them?, American best point of strategy was they didn't know what they are going to do, DDay was a luck, it almost turned very different. I could continue, but you get the idea, there is no way making it historically correctly |

There are many noteworthy French gens IF used correctly.
In France 1939, De Gaulle is effective support early on.
Juin can take out Spanish North African position and units, eventually securing Allied control of NA.
Leclerc can take out Barcelona, maybe help out at Madrid if he's got plenty of HP left.
Throw Petain at weaker Nazi Germany panzer gens.
Darlan can secure Allied contol of Mediteranean Sea.
Maginot Line can slow down Axis forces but I agree, the line should have buffed up forts and mines.
The French is not completely helpless unles AI controls France.
In the long run, if ET is using EW4 unit system, they have to consider what is USA's elite units. Having unique troops IS good, but I don't think ET will implement the EW5 unique troop system and give you your Flamethrowers.

Just for France, France need to get troops from city.So buffing Maginot's forts can be earn time for French Army.They need to get troops for protecting France from Manstein.This guy is a great general on an Tiger tank.If we think forts are not buffed, Not enough stop German Army and in Europe France haven't got plenty of units, This facts make France is more weaker.Germany have plenty of Generals and tanks and so many general on them at west.This makes France defeat so fast. |

If they are gonna build the magonet line, I also hope they are gonna add the West Wall for Germany 1939 conquest opposite of tha maginet line (just outside of range) and if there is a 1944 conquest, then I also hope that there will be an atlantic wall.
Also he Germans did attack the magonet line, but they attacked it from the rear, they went trough the Benelux and the attacked the magonet line from the side and the back.
