Sometimes, the best way to save an ally from dying immediately is to take on one of their fronts on your own. I played a Finland and saved Germany's a** by stopping the Soviets. After I stopped Russia, Germany actually went smart and took Britain for once. I did a similar thing as the USSR in 1939. I launched an all out attack on Japanese territory and retook Peking, preventing things from getting real bad In most if not all ET games, this is always a smart move. Somehow, there is a medium-high chance that your allies will suffer a domino effect which destroys them. (Eg. Beijing, Shanghai & Hong Kong fell! The Chinese resistance automatically starts collapsing. )

When i am playing wc3 in conquest i noticed that our enemys are very superior to our allies, what i mean is that or your allies are useless or they just steal your citys and that freaks me out. steal your cities? Your allies wont so much as take a village from you, let alone a city. If you are talking about cities you emptied of health, then I know what you mean.
