1. He reranked (if that's a word) up in a very short time. 2. He was the only one who could talk to Napoleon with "tu" instead of "vous". 3. John Lannes died on a battlefield 4. He was one of Napoleon's best 3 generals 5. He showed alot of courage. 6. The Battle of Saalfeld where he just rekt Prussian troops. 7. He commanded the whole left wing in one of the strategically speaking best battles (Austerlitz). 8. He died in a foreign country. 9. His leader actually liked him before his death

He got wrecked at Vienna though. Then he died after succumbing to his injuries ( he was in a ditch in shock over a commander dying in front of him when a cannonball took his legs out ). Suvourov never lost a battle in 60 years of service.

Aspern-Essling
I hate to say that word. I just hate to. It's like saying Dieppe Raid to Mountbatten. And of course was he in a ditch you would also be if your old friend just died in front of you

To preserve Napoleons imperial government? Sherman was fighting on the side that wanted to end slavery and restore a nation!

He would continue slavery if the USA would unite again.

Well what cause was Lannes fighting for? Extreme expansion? To preserve Napoleons imperial government? Sherman was fighting on the side that wanted to end slavery and restore a nation! You remember what Abe Lincoln said? He would continue slavery if the USA would unite again. Not exactly...he said "If I could win the war without freeing one slave, I would. If I could win the war by only freeing a few slaves, I would." Does that give him more credit? Not really, but saying that he would continue slavery if the USA United again is different than saying he wished he could continue slavery if the USA United again. Plus, he was an advocate of African American rights later in the war. Also, Lincolon aside, Sherman gave acres of land to liberated slaves in Georgia as he was commencing his campaign. So even if Lincoln didn't, Sherman definetely did.

Wait a second... England vs. America vs. France Let's make our own thread
But back to the topic Napoleon is over estimated lol Napoleon is underestimated same as Lannes. Napoleon rekt Europe and Lannes would easily defeat Suvorov in any battle 200%. Napoleon should have 10/5 stars in everything, he is literally in the game's title

Napoleon isn't all that imo. He was defeated twice and exiled twice. Then he died on his exile island of stomach cancer. The guy pushed all the way to Russia and got shreked all the way back to France. That just puzzles me.
