He had been blinded in his right eye, he lost the right arm and he shaved his hair off and wore a wig. How could someone look like Nelson? |

We know for sure that his right eye was injured. Historical evidence (Nelson's letters and a medical certificate) implies that he indeed lost sight, but had trouble proving it to the Admiralty. He might not have been "blinded" in the sense of totally losing an eye due to the shrapnel, but his eye's function was taken from him. Ofc, he could have still faked it, but Occam's razor. |

Despite his injury, his eye looked normal externally (that's why the Admiralty didn't believe him), so that doesn't directly affect his appearance (which is the point of the whole conversation). |
