Hi, In wc3 the Southern Hemisphere wasn't added. In wc4 this is currently unkown. Do you think the Southern Hemisphere will be added? I'll state arguments below, feel free to share your thoughts and don't forget to vote in the poll. Pros: * As our member philippe stated it's certain that Johannesburg, a city in South Africa, will be added in the Empire/Domination mode: * There are 40 countries in WC3, in WC4 they state that there will be 50, gives room for an additional 10 countries, but which? * Why not? Let's try to stay positive! Cons: * You can't see the Southern Hemisphere in the trailer. * WC3 also stated that there are 50 countries in total, while there are only 40, meaning it's not even sure if there will be 10 additional countries. * Even if there are 10 additional countries, it would be more far likely that they added vietnam, indonesia, West/east Germany etc than for instance Argentina. * The theme of this game will be Cold War and WW2, two situations in which countries from the Southern Hemisphere only played a minor role. I personaly don't think they will add the Southern Hemisphere predominantly because we don't see it in the trailer. Easytech usualy brags about their new innovations, but we don't see it right now. Also the description states that there will be only 50 countries in total, the same was told about wc3. I don't see how that amount of countries could be enough to add the Southern Hemisphere. However I do think Domination Mode will have a worldwide map, simply because Johannesburg was added. So I think those daily invasions, investigations and military parades will also be held in cities in the Southern Hemisphere, perhaps even a challenge (they are in Domination mode as well) will be set in the souther hemisphere. So shortly I think Domination --> Yes, Campaign/conquest --> No

Not adding the Southern Hermisphere could be a pro as well though,
At a certain point in the conquest you know you have won and you only need to clean up the remaining countries which is usually quite boring.
we already think going to Melbourne to kill blamey takes way too long, imagine you need to go to the Falkland Islands...

Campaign modes, yes, to a certain extent. As is seen in Pacific War (insert number) in WC3, the Japs attacked across the equator into Indonesia, New Guinea, Brunei, and Northern Asutralia.
If Southern Hemisphere shows up in Domination, it WILL show up in conquest. Remember EW5 Enpire mode? It is the full map of the world and the final map version of the world. However, who would ONLY want the Pacific territories to gain some Southern Hemisphere territory? No one, but we have to wait and see.

Am i the only one hoping the Conquest Map would stretch from Northern Greenland (Denmark) to Antarctica (Owned by Claimed Countries) down South?

With the southern hemisphere i actually meant to say the southern part of south america and subsaharan africa. But yes i agree with you that it's most likely that south east asia including australia will be part of all game modes like in wc3. Also the map from empire mode and conquest mode look totally different from the trailer so stating that they are equivalent seems a bit wrong imo.

I think they should go for a complete world map. But this would increase the time it takes to complete conquest mode, so they should give you 400 turns instead of 300.

I think its really unlikely they will add the southern hemisphere parts to conquest and campaigns. The game campaign looks to be very smilier to WC3 campaigns

They should have added Antarctica just so we could do the missions "Wipe out the remaining Nazis in their Bunker in Antarctica".

They should have added Antarctica just so we could do the missions "Wipe out the remaining Nazis in their Bunker in Antarctica". Yes that would be great. Those were some tough GOG levels!
