You know what is different about Lannes? He died on a battlefield! He showed courage, his leader was his close friend and he was considered one of Europe's best generals. And Suvorov just because you beat one general on his skill level doesn't mean you beat all generals on his skill level.

And then in 1944-1945: Soviets, soviets everywhere And then in the 60s: Nukes, nukes everywhere And then in the 75s: Aliens, aliens everywhere

And Suvorov just because you beat one general on his skill level doesn't mean you beat all generals on his skill level. Like Suvorov didn't show courage. Like Suvorov wasn't considered one of Europe's best generals. Suvorovs death: The Tsar had soon had enough of the war and recalled Russia’s armies from Europe and Suvorov was again out of favour. The newly promoted Generalissimo found his hero’s welcome to St. Petersburg cancelled. Worn out and ill, the old veteran died on May 18, 1800. He was buried in St. Petersburg, the inscription on his grave stating simply “Here lies Suvorov”.

We can all agree that they were top generals in their individual armies. Mountbatten never fought any of them, neither did Sherman. Suvorov and Lannes never even saw each other on the battlefield I don't think Case Closed.
Mountbatten is best detective ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Lol, Napoleon by himself said that Lannes was his best general when writing the letter letting his wife know he's dead. And he first got buried in the Panthéon and later in Père Lachaise.

Lannes would be the first one to attack definitely. Suvorov was actually the one who indoctrinated his soldier to attack, attack and if you're done attacking for this day, attack some more the other day
