Without any doubt, life of Napoleon is one of the most fascinating stories in human history. To achieve the height of the power and to loose everything and all that within one's lifespan - what could be more exciting to study than that! Yet his legacy provides an example of what to do and not to do at the same time. Debates below are a rare example, where I can agree with both points of view...

On the other hand Nay was quite successfull in small battles and skirmishes. He defeated Wellington in battles of Redinha (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Redinha) and of Pombal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Pombal) and had a good score in overall disastrous French Peninsular campaigns... |
