Does the battle of Los Angeles count?

I'm going to assume that "stupid" means "dumb" and "bad descision" instead of "opposite of important" (if you get what I mean)

Does the battle of Los Angeles count? Not sure how to edit polls, but yes, Battle of LA and Operation Sealion does count.

Operation Sealion technically never happened, only the Battle of Britain.
I doubt you can add in new options to a running poll, you can only remove the existing one & redo from scratch. Just edit your post & you can see that your poll can be edited.

I say staying in Stalingrad. It was stupid to force thousands of troops to sit in a surrounded city and eventually they surrendered.

Might not be a battle but Italian invasion of Egypt. They outnumbered the British and still got mauled.

You missed 2 crucial British failures in WW2. which ones? Dieppe is definitely one of them. There was another British assault on the Germans, that was East of Normandy, I'm forgetting the name. I'll look it up.

The one battle Winston Churchill seemed to never have gotten over in WW2, was the Battle of Singapore.
More specifially, the resulting Fall of Singapore (also the battle's other name).
About 85,000 Allied troops engaged 36,000 Japs (not mentioning equipment, arty and armour used in these figures). 7 days later, the Allies unconditionally surrendered the island with about 80,000 Allied troops captured. Both sides incurred a death/wounded/MIA count of ~ 5,000 men EACH.
The "Gibraltar of the East", Singapore, had her forts & guns pointed the wrong way. They pointed to the sea, practically all towards the South while the Japs (obviously) invaded by land from the North.

Dieppe was a stroke of military brilliance, and anyone who says otherwise is ignoring the facts!
