I could actually use that technique getting 2k every night= 80000:2000=40

Oh yes WTO 1 I just have to find a way to autoplay it.
The problem with it however is the fact that you have to reload the mission after every time you beat it.

That makes WTO 1 or any other campaign mission not an option because it can't be done all night. However I would see use in this when you're doing something else and have the game running in the background.

If you really want to farm medals through wonders, building Terracotta is crucial. I planned and save up industry ahead that I could build it right when I got the wonder.
I traded medals for industry and it's worth if you seriously plan to farm because the faster you build the earlier you can harvest medals.
At the trade, the deal is about 100 industry/1 medal. From wonder, you get 300/500/700/1000 (total 2500) industry and 15/30/45 (total 90) every 1200 game days (about 4 hours real life). The ratio is about 27 industry/1 medal.
So it is more feasible to invest some medals first to get to harvest more medal quicker than to farm for industry and postpone the medal wonder.
