Leonidas I Agiad of Sparta. Apparently he defended Greece at a place with some hot springs or something with a couple of Spartans, so not really that 'famous'. (Yes, his dynasty name was 'Agiad', so let's go with that as his last name.) Edit: Ninja'd. Whatever, still a L name. Alexander Chuikov

Since apparently fictional characters are fair game (some guy did Lex Luthor), I'll go for Lancelot du Lac, famed knight of the Round Table who later became an extra on the set of Night at the Museum.
