So who is our local resident WC expert? We got anyone that played any of the other world conqueror tittle?
Reason I ask is I am guessing that most likely easytech gonna use the same game mechanics but with new features.

I've played WCII a bit, but it wasn't too good. Played pretty much e same as european war 3, but a lot harder in my opinion. Thsi new game looks like it will be more like 4 though.

Woah, Slow down their buddy, I loved wc2, One, for the easy modding  , AND ACTUAL SENSICAL CODE!!!! But anyways, I liked the risk based aspect of it and, idk. It was well made too, obviously a lot of thought put into the level design. Anyways, I also loved GOG more then all of the series, but, thats another thing, SECOND. This WW3 is definitely either A. A blend of the Chinese version style with EW4 elements, or, FULL ON CHINESE STYLE= The game will suck. and will basically be clash of clans, except the battles will be our good old battle system. I'm hoping this is not the case. Since I hate Clash of clans. |

Didnt realize we got huge fans of easytech with multiple of their games played.Good that should give us a leg up on the new WC3,I am sure they gonna use some of the same older game mechanics.

I am a huge Easytech fan, and I played almost all of their titles (i.e. GOG, GOG Pacific, EW3, EW4 and WC2). Since I live in Hong Kong, I know Chinese and even played the Three Kingdoms Conqueror. To be honest, this game is really a piece of failure with those COC mechanics and requires online connections all the time, which is unnecessary since nobody will want to play that stupid online mode. Let me briefly introduce the Three Kingdoms Conqueror game mechanics: You will build your own city and got a townhall. But you only got a limit of 9 units to build, so you can't have a large army to play as. After that, you can go to either the campaign or conquest mode. The campaign mode is ridiculous, since in the later levels you are outnumbered 5 times and lack allies. Even thogh you got an "ally", they usually got only a few units whereas the enemy got 30 units etc. Then in conquest mode you can start as your city and attack the AI cities and other player bases. The bad thing is, you cannot freely attack the AI cities you want, but to attack the particular ones Easytech has chosen. And in multiplayer mode, you only got one unit to defend your city plus some "defensive turrets", which are useless, and the enemy can attack you with all 9 units, and almost all battles are won by the attackers. The most important thing is, you need to consume energy and resources (gold, wood and food) before playing a battle, which is kinda stupid. A huge disappointment for me, and also it is not translated into English, which lowers its sales.  ( |

Great summary Marco I was just playing The 3 kingdoms game that I downloaded yesterday and wanted to briefly try it out.
I think the always online might be their desperate attempt at fighting piracy,and the ridiculous outnumbering a way to force players to spend real money.Either way this not a good tactic imo .
Anyways,someone mentioned that one of WC3 game developer posted in weibu (the chinese version of tweeter?) news about the release date of WC3 in early May.I looked on the site (used google and baidu translate) but was not able to find the source of the comments.

I play wc2 a lot. I have all the gold medals (gold infantry medal, gold medal of honour, etc). I also have 1852 medals and completed all the campaign missions. Some of the mission are very hard like the Battle of Kursk, Battle of El Alamein, and Tora! Tora! Tora!. The one that is near impossible is Destination Tokyo. And the one that's truly impossible, but still managed to complete it with one star, is Expedition to America. I think wc2 is a perfect example of practice makes perfect as before, Fall Gelb was impossible for me, and now I could complete it anytime. I also completed 1950 Asia as communist China, Britain, and the Soviet Union.
I also play European War 3 and completed all the conquest missions. GoG and GoG Pacific are also games that I have, they are extremely difficult.

I play WC2 and I enjoy it a lot. I prefer the mechanic of WC2; maybe because I like playing a board game called "Risk." I play it to the point that I feel the game is too easy but finally I switched to EW4 because it has fast forward button. lol. Anyway, I prefer conquest mode in WC2 because in EW4 and WC3 the conquest maps are way too large and take a lot of time to complete (esp in mopping phase). I enjoy a more casual one.

* european war 1 (easy-inc)
* european war 3 (easytech)
* european war 4 (easytech)
* glory of generals
* glory of generals pacific (but deleted after 2 weeks)
* world conqueror 1945
* world conqueror 3
As you can see almost everything...
Only wc 2 and ew2 i havent played

WC2 is really good, I had all the medals, Field Marshal, all 3 star in campaigns.. I still plays it sometimes, like a refresher after a failed attempt on Alien Conquest.

Ah yes, World Conqueror 2, Glory of Generals: Europe and Pacific, and European War III and IV. I perfected WCII already (took a while, but I eventually did). Now I can play even the weakest of nations, in any campaign.

I remember Antartic campaign in GoG was really hard. The best thingh was that you could take free medals easy just making conquest over and over. Europe 1943 was me favorite with Guderian 150 medals in 1 conquest
