Alright the new 1980 conquest is here and I will be trying to do it with the Soviet Union. I think the Soviet Union is the easiest country for 1980 because it has... Large number of cities You start with Zhukov and Konev, two of the best artillery generals You get to use super rocket artillery Starting position. My main attack will be into Europe   On turn 3, 2 enemy generals come from the east, I move my generals to deal with them. My Manstein and Guedrian both have maxed blitzkeirg so they were able to avoid the dangerous attack got the enemy generals  Turn 6, the 2 enemy generals were defeated and I countine my attack west into Europe. A lot of enemies are attacking Germany and their cities ar empty so that is a good chance to take their cities. For anybody looking to try 1980, I think one of the keys to winning is taking the terrorists out of Europe. i've done this with italy and Turkey and it's made the conquest easier to win.
Another key is securing all the Mediterranean ports, especially the Italian one so the terrorists can't spam missile cruisers. Even paratroop terrorist territory in Great Britain, even if you know you'll lose it right away.
Once you have Europe defeating the missile cruiser spam in the English channel should be easier.
At the same time I paratroop some towns in Africa. The westernmost African town, I paratroop twice to south America and missile the nearest city and move a paratrooper on the same turn. The other paratrooper goes into the water and captures the rio port.
The rest is basically missile/paratrooping the rest of the cities. I did this into east russia, China and the Philippines.
If all the European countries are being defeated (italy, spain, great Britain), that's pretty much game over. Best thing to do is restart.

Why did Osborn and Yudinsev have to spawn next to USSR? Why couldn’t it be in Asia? Because the asian countries don't have any generals with rumour capabilities, and that way you can take them out before they do too much damage. |

I would use it on Williams to help the Chinese. Anyways you need high rumor lvl to confuse Osborn ASAP and move on to Germany and France before they collapse. |

pz2020, I suggest you focus on the two generals for the first five turns, and then your western and southern fronts for the next 10 turns. Don't put too many units into Siberia, just a few mechanized infantries should suffice. Australia's gonna help you a lot in the east.
