Investigation N Nimitz. Good navy/air gen, which you can get in early game with 40% discount. Not so bad in air as Yamamoto and not so good in sea as Donitz, but around 2 times cheaper than any of them. Recommended as second or third gen.

Posting only 1 sentence and writing everything else later was not fair BTW, I already edited that post, so there is a correct word.

Osaka - A
Alexander. There are few good Art generals in WC4. Some of Art generals have even useless skills. Alexander is one of them. One useless skill, two decent skills - not a good choice...

Operation Overlord. One of the hardest missions in Europe campaigns. Key to success is to keep your allies alive, so that they can help you by distracting Rommel's attention... Now it is in its place

Operation Overlord - d.
Donitz. The best navy gen in game. Good, but expensive. Also dedicated navy, not navy/air which makes him not reasonable to buy in early game and possibly in late game too.

Donitz - "Z"
Zhu De. The only one M General between "bronze" generals. Probably we need less resources for him to be fully upgraded than for any other general in the game (including IAP generals). But there are better Inf generals in the game. And we don't need many of them. I'm sorry to say this, because I completed EW5 with Inf team. But we must face reality!

England. Land colour is light green. Playable on all 4 scenarios and featured in a significant amount off campaign missions. Has it's fair share off generals

England - D. Dowding - one of those generals from England. One of the best Air force generals in the game. If you like Air support for your team - he is your man (after unlocking 40% discount, of course).

Nasser. Titan of the desert. He makes player's start for Egypt 1943 comfortable enough, because he can destroy Italian Commanders in Africa in a couple of turns.

L - Light infantry.
Weakest infatry unit and also weakest unit in game. Sometimes being used quite widely used as it is the only unit which don't requires industry and tech. Costs $80 which makes it the cheapest one.
I have 5 too, but why not to continue, amount of words is limited, so quite soon this may require some imagination.
