So last time I went to Florida I went fishing alone, and in the water was this massive (obese human sized) thing. Its body looked like a hippo and it had a weird snout that sorta dangled like it was all fat. Desophaeus @floridacrowd?

South Florida does have mantees, but they could come up a bit north to central Florida on occasion, so it's possible that you saw one. Idk really... without a picture of the animal, I can't say for sure. It's my guess. Edit: check pictures of mantees online, you should be able to compare.

As Floridian I can (somewhat proudly) confirm that what you saw is not even close to the craziest you'll see here.

That thing... Just looks... Terrifying... Mantees? Nah, they're all just grazers like cows. Ugly like cows too. Alligators... completely different and way crazy dangerous. If you ever see one in the wild, you should pee in your pants because they like human meat even more than lions.

Seaweed?(Btw I googled it and the "Mantee County, Florida popped up lol)

Lol. Y’all are scared of Manatees? I live in the damn mountains and I’ve still seen those things! Went swimming with dolphins on a cruise back in... 6th grade, a few years back. Lot of fun, for sure. And at the beginning of every cruise I’ve gone on, one from Charleston, one from Tampa Bay, and one from New Orleans, you can see them bobbing their heads out ff the water next to the ship.

Ja, never seen a fellow Korean that often, I think I'm the only Korean active now. I think there's a handful of Chinese here and there, though.
