Not necessarily. Princesses are just good free generals. Most of them have a good use so that you don't have to spend medals or emblems buying a general. I would say that most princesses are at least equivalent to tier 2 generals, while some are better than emblem generals. Namely Kate, Isabela, and Lan. Idk about Victoria.
