aoc2 will have 4149 provinces, wc4 has 7500 tiles. The big advantage for provinces is that the map still looks realistic. Perhaps an idea to make a newer provinced based Easytech game like wc2 or ew3 with the newer tech?

The Free, Independent, and Strictly Neutral City of Cracow[1] with its Territory was a city republic created by the Congress of Vienna in 1815, which included the city of Kraków and its surrounding areas.
Well.. that's one title to have.

Well.. that's one title to have. Maybe that should be Switzerland's title as well (except for the name being Cracow) in recognition of Swiss neutrality.

It seems weird to answer 'yes' to someone when asking if they're working on it if it wouldn't be the next one.

My last activitytracker was on the 28th of October.
I really wondered what the effect was of Easytech's WC4 event on the overall activity in the wc4 boards. So I checked the activity from the 28th till today the 5th of November.
WC4 has gained an additional 100 posts since then. The total amount of game posts since last week is 276. Therefore 36,23% of the posts since then were posted inside the wc4 boards. For comparison, in the entire month of October wc4 "only" got 275 posts and a total percentage of 18,80%, meaning the amount of activity for wc4 has almost doubled.
Considering the event hasn't even started yet I really think wc4 could be bigger than ew6 this month (103 posts last week). We'll see at the end of the month.

So I was curious as for the heritage of some Dutch words.
One interesting word is definitely water (same in Dutch and English). Since it's so vastly used since the beginning of time it hasn't really changed much over time.
In 3000 bc, more than 5000 years ago, water was in general (ofc depending on the tribe) referred to as wódr.
wódr itself is derived from the even older word wed (not wet in modern usage), + r. The r or an n was used as a suffix that time to show the word is a noun.
It's quite interesting to see that commonly used words rarely change overtime. I would expect roughly the same for the two most used vowels of all time (to have/ to be)
As for to have the proto Indo-European ancestor is kh₂pyéti which meant something as "to be grasping" I was like "this doesn't look like to have (or the Germanic ancestor habban/hebban) at all".
But it's still used today, albeit in the form of 'kapen' (capture).
Than again, kh₂pyéti comes from *keh₂p- + *-yéti. (despite searching, I still don't really understand what the yéti means)
and keh₂p looks a lot like the Dutch heb, or the English have.
So both to capture and to have have similar roots, quite logically as both words are quite near each other in the spectrum.
To be is more straightforward: bʰúHt --> būaną --> būan --> büwen (old Dutch) gebuen (old English) --> bouwen (Dutch) Build (English) Wait, something went wrong.
Before you're like "to build and to be definitely don't have the same heritage one should realise that bʰúHt actually meant something like "to become" for both a person and a thing. And when building a thing, it kinda "becomes" something. So with that in mind it isn't that strange they both have the same heritage.
As for the real to be tree, see below:
bʰúHt --> beuną --> bēon --> been --> be

So lukasz just posted another video about aoc2, it comes out on 22-11-2018 for Windows (steam) and will come out later for Android and iOS. In other news, The Netherlands just beated France 2 to 0, meaning Germany is officially demoted to group 2, NL 'only' needs to draw against Germany in order to be head of the group. Damn, who expected that. The world champion of 2014, Germany The world champion of 2018, France The country that didn't even qualify for 2018, the Netherlands. And still for some reason NL has it in its own hands now.

NL and Germany were my two favorite football teams ! Very different style of play to be sure but technical and aggressive. I can't even imagine that level of fitness, they are tireless.
