Cons: 1. Can't have 2 skills of your choice 2. Has Tide of Iron 3. Costs real money (13.99 USD) 4. Inferior to Guderian and Rommel 5. You can actually recreate him with Guderian Pros: 1. 6 star Panzer and Movement, and 4-5 stars on everything else 2. 4/5 useful skills 3. Available right away 4. Starts as a Marshal 5. Skills leveled up 1 or 2 levels Do the pros outweigh the cons? That's up to you. He's better than Rokossovsky though isn't he? I might swap him for Manstein when I can. Keep both. Rokkosovsky (and his equivalent, Rommel), if you put explosives on him, can almost be as good as Guderian, but Manstein most definitely still has uses. 4 tank generals is not a necessity, but it does help.

I'm pretty much done with the game so I might just stack it with tank and naval generals, or maybe air generals. All I have left are the domination exercises. I am trying out generals in a mod and see what I like. Also, do you know if there's rank lists of the best generals in infantry, artillery, air and naval? I don't need tank since I see that discussed quite a bit on here.

For infantry, I can count on one hand where Yamashita and Rundstedt would be truly useful. They are the best two, nonetheless. Artillery is Konev, then Leeb and Zhukov tied at two; Leeb is better for comparing, and Zhukov is better at conquests. I do not think you need more than 2. Navy is Donitz, but I can easily see a case for Nimitz. For invasions Donitz easily wins (Wolfpack), but in campaign there is probably little difference. In conquest, and this likely only pertains to speed running, Nimitz has a certain role because of ace ability. Navy ships are hard to level up, and leveling yields a good bit of city damage, so Nimitz could win out. He is also cheaper. Air is Dowding and Arnold. Years ago there was argument for Yamamoto as a hybrid, but for purely air he is a rumorless Arnold who is considerably more expensive. Also, hybrids have no use. Dowding is really more about extra income and technology, and I almost never use his Air Force unless it’s missiles from afar. This is because he should not die, so he needs to be far from action.

For infantry you forgot Marshall and MacArthur, Rundstadt is not that great in terms of offensive capacity, he better used as Econ or secondary airforce general.

That was three years ago before the importance of mobility, explosives, and new metas emerged
