I like donitz but he really is so expensive. However, I suppose if you want wolfpack he really is the only choice. Agreed! spent 3 months farming for him. Donitz is ALMOST perfect, only of flex tape existed back then (IT ALSO WORKS UNDERWATER!)

I’d say he is the naval Vatutin. Has good skills and can take you to endgame. Despite being slow, has 6 stars in Navy which is no joke. Not the best, but not bad at all, either.

Poor Nagumo committed suicide during the Battle of Saipan. Maybe his crimes were enough to earn him the death sentence, or maybe due to the Japanese Army's belief that no men get captured, either they kill or be killed.

Okay I bought him. What can he do? Well everything that a great navy general can except the hp yep he runs low on health, but with red name plate it gets better and if you do not jump in the middle of action he will survive scenarios and conquests. Put him on a double cruiser and give him a destroyer and a sub as assistants he will do good. Buy explosives skill and make him a beast in landing assistance. After trying out Yamamoto I felt that 6 stars are needed for a navy general and especially fleet leader skill. Why didn't you buy Nimitz then? Well I was a greenhorn and didn't know the game is based on patience so I got him when I stuck on some pacific scenarios. Today I would rather aim for Nimitz or even Donitz, but as for second navy I think he stands a chance. Sorry for not comparing him to Mountbatten but as I said 6 stars are a great advantage. Anyways I love him, but be patient and aim for a gold tier instead of him. 1700+ medals were a bit much for this general but good news you can sell him for 1400 of you get bored of him. Just give rumor. Buying him makes more sense than donitz. Yes. If you give him Rumor, he is Kuznetsov but harder-hitting, and with additional protection from missiles.

That might be true. But still, yes, buying Nagumo makes more sense than Dönitz.

It’s really up to the buyer. Nagumo can become very hard hitting and have tons of HP if you upgrade him correctly. But so does Kuz. Then again, Kuznetsov also has good damage, not as high as Nagumo but still good, and stars with Level 3 Fleet Leader and Level 1 Rumor. He lacks Shelter for 600 medals which isn’t a very useful skill after all.

Both are a solid 4/5, and excellent options for secondary navy generals, as both have good navy stars, and also good air stars.
