The only reason for buying an expensive general is if he is great from the start like Heinz Guderian or Karl Dönitz. But Kesselring isn’t great from the start. No, worse than that, he CANNOT be great. Absolute waste of medals.
The best he could be would be his maxed skills + his 4th Artillery Star + Rumor to act as a defensive air general. But his price is too high. Dowding is about 700 medals cheaper than him while Arnold is about 600. Both can de defensive air generals, Dowding especially, for much less. They are also outright better than Albert.

I just saw War Master's video about who is the best air general: Arnold, Yamamoto or Dowding. There were people saying that they prefer Kesselring in the comments. My eyes were almost bleeding.
He could be used as an Infantry/Air Hybrid, but the fact that he has Architecture and Explosives instead of Raider and Infantry Leader make him useless as Infantry. At least he can have Carpet Bombing. Poor Albert...

Hey, Paulus, have you ever had a moment where due to bad luck you couldn’t 3-star a hard stage? That just happened to me. I was on Conquer Europe hard. Last turn, had just killed Rokossovsky, but due to bad luck Manstein's 75% attack again chance didn’t trigger which costed me the scenario. But ok, next time just need to send some paratroopers near Moscow as a contingency. |

I was on Conquer Europe hard. Last turn, had just killed Rokossovsky, but due to bad luck Manstein's 75% attack again chance didn’t trigger which costed me the scenario. More so then ever with GCR, where instead of having challenges, our campaigns are a mix of accumulate supplies, wipe out the enemy, and the dreadful population missions. Most victories in it are very very close : ) |

My Pacific tech is basically complete, so i believe it will be like Destination Berlin normal with full European tech. |

Especially when you have to attack manstein in the city. |
