All the other ways seem to slow to do without generals or princesses. The only gen I have is Dobeln, no regroups or upgrades. I feel like I made a mistake by buying him. Should I restart?

I don't think so. He is a very good infantry general, and medals will come soon enough, especially by completing the campaign missions.

Thanks, but I'm stuck in campaign. I guess the only answer is conquest. I do need Kate for campaign and Sophia for art gen tho.do you know what I can do to achieve them?

For Kate you have to get her through the American conquest, but that might be a little difficult with only one general. I'd go for Sophia first, as she's easier to get and more effective on artillery. I don't remember how many turns you need to get her, but I do know she was the first Princess I achieved, so there's hope!
Also, what campaign are you stuck on? Maybe I can help.

Get Sofia!!
Best way is Europe 1798 as Russia,should be a cinch as you have a good infrantry general.
If you have enough medals get Dumouriez(the best 1st tier cavalery 4* general and is a trainer)also and you should best it 65 turns or under that is required.

Ok, I will do, but what's the best type of inf to put dobeln on? What's the best inf unit in general? 1.Put him on 2x guards 3x if in a lvl 7 city. 2.Guards infty as they have more defense and more Hp slightly better attack than grenadiers. Btw,what is Dobelns nobility now? |

Cyrus the Great, I'd say do the battle of three emperors for medal grind as you get loads of generals and also tons of enemies. though I got only 15 for completing the level, I surprisingly got 23 without even knowing

Battle of Marengo is one of the early campaigns. How to win without headquarter-generals: Stay away from the firerange of the forts! This was a complete walkthrough. I just tried it: Really NEVER touch the range of the fort of Trieste, or the two forts close to Deroy. Like this your way is limited to the sucessfull moves - just head forward but never touch the range! The fort close Torino is your first target - Milano - Munic (meet troops from Weilburg) - Deroy + Radetzky . With 5 or 6 times Defense Art from Radetz, he remained for last unill round 14. Normally Deroy is my last victim. Train Napoleon, before he comes below 50% heealth. Grind your 50π for a great victory here. |

I did my first Medal-grind !
With my new game I did a first conquest, but no campaign until now. And then today: - the pistol in the shop - selling all consumables and the sword, that I just bought before, I was still missing 200π.
I want the pistol !
I played without finishing, repeatly the first french mission: Siege of Tulon. This was much better than I expected! On average 9 Medals in the 6 or 7 turns with enemies (4min). With Napoleon conquering Marseille, I easy got the missing medals in a bit more than one hour.
Siege of Tulon, is an effective - newbie - friendly - medal grind.
A bit more work, but faster than Trafalgar.
