Barclay is a good general. He is inferior to both Karl, and Masséna, but get him if you already have masséna. Karl + Masséna + Barclay is too powerful. |

Barclay is a good general. No, he is a great general! At least he wasn't like he was in EW4. If you look at the general analysis there, it says: "even his colleauges didn't like him" and stuff. |

Thats like asking me if I have Paulus fully upgraded. Of course I do. In wc3, I have him at marshal health. Hes not good in wc3 nor in wc4. And for muller1942's question, I am pretty new to the game and the generals I have are jourdan, clinton and massena. A good team to start with. And you can’t play as paulus in wc4 haha, wc3 he is ok. For 240 medals, he is decent i’ll give him that. Glory of Generals though was my peak |

Barclay seems to be among the best infantry generals, but I think you don’t really need him. Infantry generals aren’t good for Crimean War, it’s better if you have 2 Infantry generals (Massena and Karl), 3 Cavalry generals (I recommend Murat, Ney and Dabrowski) and 3 Artillery Generals (I recommend Mahmud II, Alexander I and Scharnhorst). 1-Star the navy missions, then sell the least-needed Artillery and cavalry general (I’d sell Dabrowski and Scharnhorst) to buy 2 navy generals (Sakurako and Nelson or Sakurako and Treville) to 3-star the navy missions.

Exactly! But sophia’s alert and king rank would make her a better candidate (survivability wise) for crimean war. But you are on the ball on everything else! Took you a lot less time than me to learn the basics |
