Another interesting bit on Grant.
He almost lost Shiiloh,Sherman said ,well we had the devils day,here,,Grant reply was "yep lick them tomorrow though"
And he did.

Far better than in the sequel. I seriously wanted to revisit this Grant because I almost couldn’t stand the most successful Union commander of the American Civil War being bad.
