France perhaps wasn't the easiest pick. As I've heard every faction seems to spawn generals. As France is the strongholder for the blue faction it probably spawns a lot of strong generals you're currently missing.
Combine this with the fact that the only mediumsize ally is on the other side of the map and you need to deal with the HRE, Brittain and Russia you get a very tricky conquest.
The same can be said about the HRE though, as that one will have so many fronts you probably can't keep up with little experience.

Turn 30 and it's pretty clear I am getting stomped by the anti French alliance. Only allies left are ottomans and Spain. The prussians and Russians come from the east while the British and Swedens make landings north In the south I am just surprised how Sardinia got so many troops. I think I was too careless at some points in the conquest and now paying attention to the southern front. I will probably get a few tech upgarded before trying another conquest. You can do se great conquests😉

Btw u only need all cities to conquer land. Ships doesnt matter
Btw 2: keep your army size below max
Btw 3: encirclement is a must
Btw 4: upgrading cities is important

As WC4. Ports are connected to the region. U can onlymake ships if region is yours. Taking the city/region is annexation of port

But be aware, the enemy can, and will do it to you too.

The #1 reason why a 15 turn Prussia 1798 conquest is impossible right now.
