A good and very cheap general, but not one for the final lineup. Nevertheless, if you want a strong defense general, I would go for either him or Napoleon III

My second general I purchased; as much as he is dear to my heart in a history sense, his attack and his damage to buildings seems glaringly weak. Some love, more hate

His output is around Jourdan’s, but he can crit a lot more often. I would consider grinding medals from 1798 netherlands, and trading him for Scharnhorst.

I honestly think that the best general Artillery general outside Artillery Experts is John. 1. He has two excellent artillery skills. 2. He has two terrain bonuses which stack together. 3. It is possible to hire him for less than 1000 medals. 4. He is a king. I like him a lot too, but he lacks artillery master sadly. But I have mahmud ii and napoleon rn, and the only other general I will consider adding to my roster is alexander.

I think it is a wise choice As I said elsewhere 3 generals with aura are the best possible combination in the game.

From using Scharnhorst and the 20% crit medal, his output was just unbearably higher, even to the point where he one hit killed enemies on rocket artillery.

A good and very cheap general, but not one for the final lineup. Nevertheless, if you want a strong defense general, I would go for either him or Napoleon III He is okay if you cannot save up for Mahmud II.
