Nelson is amazing, but in my opinion Treville is way more cost effective than him. I don’t believe that 1000 medals is enough to compensate by having possible Emperor rank and somewhat higher battle ability. Why get Nelson + Treville when you can get Sakurako + Treville?

I mean you can try it. But nelson is a good amount stronger than treville for 1000 medals. King is a very desired rank for the extra 4% defense (more important than you think). You just haven’t seen the massive damage he deals at sea

Anyway, Nelson is arguably the best navy general in the game. Him and Sakurako will be your generals for 3-starring navy Crimean War missions. 5 stars.

If you're gonna get one admiral, and only one, make it Nelson. Yeah I know he's the 2nd most expensive guy in this game, but seriously do Nelson. He's close to being the only admiral who can deal serious damage during Crimean War, and a really strong Admiral is also sometimes absolutely invaluable if you're going for low turncount (LTC) conquests. And he's also the best naval hybrid in the game because of his BA + Tactic master.
Also he's Nelson. 5 stars.

He is an insanely powerful general. Strongest in the game by far. Or with an ambulance and telescope he is unsinkable. Thats what I did, and falsen with army tent is worst than out of the box nelson without a healing item.

So now only have Sakurako, she buffs all naval units. Also Victoria will work as a naval unit.

She’s got lousy stats and no escorting. Treville is who you want if you want a mini-Nelson with no hybrid potential.

I like that you always prefer a different path than most players, silvercreek . But if you didn’t like Jones in Declaration of Independence, you won’t like Victoria, either. She’s just Jones with Tactics Master. Her lack of Escorting means she takes considerably more damage than a General with Escorting. Plus her stats aren’t really impressive, either. Sakurako, however, is a great choice. But if you get stuck on Crimean War, buy Nelson or Treville to complement Sakurako. They're really strong.
