So i've got 2280 Medals and am wondering in to whom i should invest my medals. -> Ideal time for a best Gen Pol!
My probable favourites till now are: Bismarck, Washington, Bolivar, Kutuzov, Murat (even thou Cav. is heavely nerfed IMO) and Lannes could at full reduction be best price-performer.
You guys got 3 Votes -> one for each Unit-type.

Davout is the best for cav, Washington/Bolivar - inf (but I will anyway take Suvorov instead  ), Kutuzov for arty. |

For sheer output it looks like Kutuzov and Bismarck are the best in their classes. As for cavalry I prefer Davout more than Murat.

I like Washington as well. Kinda funny how he got upgraded from a semi-lame economic general in EW4 to a mean fighting machine in EW6 I am surprised none voted for Lannes with the 50% off he is a very solid pick,maybe among the best value if you look at performance vs price. |

Kutuzov for artillery. He looks to have great skills that increase has damage like Plain fighting, salvo, explosives and land fort
Devout for calvary. High attack bonus and great skills for damage .
Bismarck or Washington for infantry. They both have plain fighting and some decent skills to increase their infantry damage.

best75, agreed Kutuzov is the best for arti as well as Devout seem to me a bit better than Murat and for Inf i'm still struggeling for my choice. I have gone and purchased Kutuzov as he is probably the most powerful General

At same rank, Scott is even better while he has 8 general pow more than Kutuzov, and Kutuzov get draw when he reach King rank with additional 8 pts while Scott only reach Prince. About skill set I think Scott is better. And Kutuzov has better defend stats about 8 point at max. |

I like Massena more since I spam militia. Second pick will either be Lannes or Barclay, maybe Karl if I have a good ton of medals.
For arty I haven’t decided yet, but Mahmud seems like a safe pick.
Cav... many are great except a few, cannot decide yet.

Just different style, Davout deal max damage in solo fighting match but Murat with his plain fighting, and cavalry comander and maneuver is a beast when make flank and surround atk with some cavalry units. |

Henri Guisan i would not worry to much as yuan Zhong says. IMO Murat does not have any weak Skills (possibly Maneuver is not the best)! So if he is second or best cavalry General it is still a good purchase. In general i would not get more then 1 Cav General, rather go down the Infantry route as best75 explains and especially cannons as they are the best Unit overall (again IMO).

One thing that will be useful for endgameto know is the max tittle generals have. Higher max tittle means they will get more boosts to their battle ability and defence stats. This could potentially make some generals that don't appear to have a high attack, be good in the endgame because they have a higher max tittle than other generals.

For those who are thinking of choosing someone with max rank of emperor, just know that the difference between someone with max rank King and max rank Emperor is 10 battle ability. Hope this helps with your decision making. There is no extra Defence for Emperor rank.
