The strategy works pretty well. My only problem is Britain won't move out of the artillery factory.

Alternatively, focusing on Washington before the fort doesn't seem to trigger the counterattack. Also works really well, since the artillery you built up for Washington is already there can simply just turn around and fire at the probably damaged fort from allied fire plus counterfire.

Same, last time I was bored I just remembered how much hell the Dominion campaign gave me since I had weak tech. So I had my revenge by capturing the non objective American cities.

In this one,you start with meager forces but have good income, save it,you need it later. I put my cav general on the lancer and ifranry gen on one provided, and just followed the brits. Built a stable so could produce Cavalry. Took the central city, then you get a factory, quickly built a siege cannon put an artillery gen on it. Then it gets much easier. Hold the central city, spam light artillery. Then take washington.

I got 3 stars.I used Massena and 3 Free generals (not falsen). I tool the 1. strategic city, destroyd the fort and spammed militia.I surrounded Washington and won.

The name of this mission might give WC4 players Destination Berlin (one of the hardest campaign missions of the game) flashbacks, but it’s actually far easier. IMO the hardest level of the Canadian campaign is Battle of Upper Canada, with Battle of the Atlantic coming second.

Interestingly, I found that easier than this because here, it's harder to achieve troop concentration and effectively march on Washington DC.

Maybe I found it easy because I managed to get Murat and Level him up considerably this early in the game without IAP...

You mean the one where we have to kill Brown, Scott and Dearborn or the one where we have to defend from an American attack? Because the latter is St. Lawrence defense.

Now I remember the battle of Upper Canada... after marching on Boston and New York, the enemy smashes through your western allies and flank you. Yep, it's definitely harder than Destination: Washington.

Except for the 1812 and 1815 conquests, 100 days war, spanish challenge, italian reunification, german empire, crimean war challenges, and the columbian campaign I mean!

I do have a well-upgraded Murat, but what you said gives a feeling of hopelessness.
