Good but inferior to Murat, davout and dabrowski. And every purple cavarly general in the game probably...

Nobody gets him and its not hard to see why. None of his skills are that good and he can only reach prince, then demands 1800 medals of ours. The Suchet of Cavalry. 1 star

I once used Radetzky in EW4 and he didn’t disappoint. If that’s a “bad” cavalry general, then I can’t imagine a “good” one...

I think of Rundstedt when I see this guy.

Anyway, yeah, he sucks in EW6. Overpriced and his skills are mediocre. Ney is like 600 medals cheaper yet so much better. A waste of medals in this game is what Old Papa Radetzky is. 1 Star.

He is like a slightly better suchet for cavarly. If you maybe changed his manuever skill to something good, maybe he would be good. But his skills don’t go together.

Generals better than radetsky: Murat, Dabrowski, Lan, Davout, Ney, Bagration, Paget, Lassale, Sucre, Possibly Greene.
Honestly, Sucre or Paget is who you should get instead if you are doing an all out cavarly team. Even greene will pull his weight better than Radetsky.

Why though ET Radetzky was an amazing general IRL, and Austria really needs a good Cav gen imo. I also love his hat and his 'stache. 2 stars for pity.

Austria has Karl, who is the most overpowered general on the entire map of 1806. He is so strong there, I always come back to replay it just to use him

And now there’s Desaix who is also better than Radetzky (Though not by that much, one would probably buy Desaix for the daily 100 medals instead of buying him because he is a good general).

At least he is a good help in defeating the Ottoman attack when you play as Austria in 1806. Why would you use him at the Ottomans? He can't do damage unless he's on a mountain. Also after using him to do a 14 turn 1798 HRE run I've gotta say that he's pretty awesome, though REALLY slow, in Italy because he's on a really strong unit in 1798. He's probably at his weakest in 1806 because Hungarian Hussars have such garbage attack stats. In 1812 and 1815 he's on musket cavalry which is decent, and has a tent so he's pretty tough in those conquests. But all this doesn't matter. You can make bad generals really useful just by sending them to the right front. A pre-deployed general being good in conquest means little.
