Massena, Ney, Scharnhorst, Treville... apparently every general type has a general that is among the top 5 for a quite cheap price.

All of them you mentioned are good relatively cheap and price effective. Except I would wait until you get Sakurako before buying Treville. The reason being is ,once you got her,you don't need any other navy gens since she has escourt. Upgrade her. She will support all warships and transports.

And durova. I would go for Barclay-massena-Karl-blucher-Murat-dabrowski-Mahmud II and Alexander or sakurako Thats what I did, except I had napoleon instead of barclay. Probably the funnest combo. I would probably get 8 land generals. Beat everything except crimean war. Then go through and 3 star the land based missions in the crimean war. Then sell two of the worst admirals you posses (people with meh battle ability as well as no navy related perks) and beat the game

After I complete the Crimean War, I will sell Dabrowski and Sophia for Sakurako and Nelson to 3-Star the navy missions.

Alert is one of the best navy skills in the entire game + she will have massive battle ability. But thats a very solid team. Do this: Infantry head: Karl (give 10% crit medal + ambulance + ferguson) Support: Massena Cavarly head: Ney (give 20% crit medal + ambulance + flintlock pistol) Support: Murat, Dabrowski Artillery Head: Sophia Support: Mahmud II, Alexander I Ney actually has the best crit damage out of all the cavarly generals so you can use that to your advantage to make him pour damage!

No Why would you make gens Who do less damage the head of your team? For arty Mahmud and for cavarly ney. Btw I would never trade dabrowski for a navy gen because he's better then ney. Btw 3 arty in a game Where arty is the worst after navy? I would trade Sophia for Barclay. With that team you can complete all campaigns and missions except 4 in the crimean war.

I liked artillery a lot in ew6. Maybe even more than infantry. It is very strong when used right. Also ney is the best at critical hits out of every cavarly general. I think it is best to buff him up the most. Same with the aura buffers. Same with sophia, as jungle is the most common terrain bonus. With the aura buffs, they will be among the strongest on the team anyway. If you play to their strengths and make them very good at critical damage, they will not dissappoint.

I played it from around May to Early January last year, pretty much nonstop as well. I noticed that having one of the crit skills makes a pretty massive difference on a general.
