I’m in the Greek Independence of Ottoman and Mexican Anglo war for Britain. What rank and titles should my generals be? I feel the levels are getting hard near impossible.

I left all free gens untouched while only upgrading Davout to Duke and Maj Gen, allowing me to get a bare 1* clear for Battle of Greece (Ottoman Empire).

I have Napoleon: Major Gen, Davout, Bismarck, and Massena all Colonel and Marquess At least have prince due to the ability to get lvl 5 skills, but try to get your generals to King if possible. Do not go to emperor. But your main difficulty is going to obtain enough gold medals to make it to king. But king offers the highest amount of defense possible. I found that rank doesn’t make that much of a difference as long as you have proper healing items.

No reason not to max out your attack.

You can farm the netherlands quite easily for medals, and you can buy a gold medal for 100 normal medals. I guess its really up to you. But I also feel like emperor only adds +10 battle ability while you can get 2 kings + 6 battle ability + 4% defense for each general, as well as 6 princes for that price.

Unit tech upgrades have high impact in the earlier campaigns, so you can work on those. Also buy an ambulance or 2 from the shop and you will find Napoleon and Blucher to be much more effective.

I just farmed that and sardinia into oblivion, and use the profits from the campaign and conquest rewards to pay for new generals.

Yeah I have lannes, masséna, napoleon, wellesley, karl, nelson, davout, blucher, and scharnhorst. All fully upgraded to the max, except for Karl. I just got him and been busy grinding in ew4. I just got him cuz Wellesley was useless. And upgrading a general to emperor costs around 600 medals to do, or grinding Netherlands 12 times. Its possible just a pain to do. But there ain’t nuffin wrong with upgrading a general to emperor, but its just frustrating when you have to do that to 5 different generals.

I like Saxony. 45 turns for Saxony 1806 is not that long. If 1798 Poland is also a good choice. And both Saxony 1806 and Poland 1798 is much more interesting than Netherlands 1798 imo.
