stoic , 28 turns for Denmark 1798 :
Turn 1, generals i deployed were Karl, Massena, Alexander I and Mahmud II. I trained a grenadier for Massena.
Giving the Swedes the taste of the Danish Blitzkrieg
After playing for a while, i realized that by focusing my land forces to Britain, i wouldn't have enough fire power for Russia, but if i focus my forces to Russia, then i wouldn't be able to defeat Britain fast enough. So the solution i thought of was to beat the British navy by using my own Navy. I deployed Nelson in a frigate, and used him with falsen, along with some militias and other infantry units to invade Britain. At this point in time, i have Murat and would use him along with Mahmud, to defeat the Prussians.
Meanwhile, Alexander, Karl and Massena would capture Helsinki, thus ending the Swedes.
My strategy worked, and victory against the British Navy meant Britain was open, and all i had to do was to harass their cities with Nelson and Falsen, and let Blucher do his thing, along with the diversionary militia forces. Despite the good news for that front, Poland falls this turn, and this made it so the Prussians and Naples would survive for much longer than they should. For those who would try denmark 1798, try helping the Poles, and try not to capture their open cities, and only capture it when an Austrian unit is near it. It didn't matter much, since Murat and Mahmud were closing in fast, and Karl, Massena and Alexander are preparing for an invasion of St. Petersburg.
As you see in the first picture, the nameless city was not captured, but Saint Petersburg was. While i was playing, i noticed that capturing both lead to the Russians spamming their generals in St. Petersburg. Remembering a similar thing that happened in one of the conquest i played, simply damaged the unnamed city, while i surrounded St. Petersburg. My theory was correct, and in the next turn, the Russians simply spawned a line infantry in St. Petersburg, while Bagration was spawned in the unnamed city. I captured St. Petersburg, and in the next turn, i captured the unnamed city. This left Bagration and Kutuzov surrounded, and i simply let my units march on towards Moscow. Meanwhile, the Prussians control only one city, and would only survive one turn. Murat and Mahmud would then proceed to wreck havoc in Russian, while i spawned Dabrowski to help capture cities. Meanwhile, Blucher and my militias would capture London, while Nelson, Falsen and a corvette would circle towards Ireland, to help the Spanish capture the cities there.
Just wanted to show the helplessness of Bagration.
Nelson , Falsen and the corvette are the MVP of the British invasion. Blucher is capturing cities on his own, and luckily, his victory rush procced every time.
Here, i made a minor blunder. Although not visible, Karl is attacking the unnamed city without reinforcements. It would be better if i trained a grenadier or rifleman earlier, so i can do a feint, and usually, unnamed cities won't spawn any units, which i can take advantage of and capture by making Karl return and attack it, while the Rifleman capture the city.
As you can see, this minor blunder made Karl stuck there until turn 26, 5 turns later.
At that point, i felt a bit sad, since i may fail this speed run, but then the image of Britain falling was enough motivation for me to continue on. I spent all my resources to build siege artilleries, and focus all my generals to attack Moscow.
All or nothing
Britain fell a turn earlier. Moscow, and the 2 unnamed cities are open. One tip, don't attack cities during turns where you are unable to capture the city. At turn 27, i was tempted to just blast the unnamed city south of moscow, but i couldn't capture it. I know that the female russian cavalry gen hasn't spawned yet,so i decided to trust my gut and didn't attack. Also, if ever she spawned, i want her to spawn in Moscow, where she get's slaughtered by my generals. My theory was again true, and no general spawned. Thus Russia fell. But surprisingly, no victory screen appeared. It turns out, Naples still held on, but they won't hold on for any longer.
Conquest is over, and got 28 turns.
Felt like i could have done much better, but for now i'll relax.
