Man I don’t know if the new update in the IOS caused it but nowadays Spain doesn’t even send troops towards Ireland until turn 40 Spain defeated Portugal at turn 20 and on the way to Britain. Far from turn 40 as You see I feel like 30 turns is possible for Warsaw, just need Spaniards to kill Portugal fast and conquer Ireland Unlike Netherlands when You need to be in London not later then turn 17 to finish the conquest by turn 31 with Warsaw You can take London by turn 25-26 and it is OK. Britain has no resources by that time with Warsaw. With Netherlands they continue spawning troops again and again. Intetesting. Especially Wellington's appearance is irritating

Here's an insane idea: let's bring back Fastest Conquest with No Gens from WC4.
I'd like to see how fast players can clear 1812 with no gens.

It could be exciting but for me generals are the main point of interest in ET games nowadays . You upgraded and developed them for months and now they look like a team capable of doing many things. To play conquests without them is like betraying all your previous work . It is like a football game without star players

Fastest conquest without Gens 1812 Turn 20: USA Capitulated *failure screen* That's a joke right? I gave up on my first 1812 conquest as Mexico on turn ~90. If it's a joke, here's another: Weren't the Napoleonic Wars about 1 guy (Napoleón) chasing people & being chased across the entire map of Europe? When did it sink into WW1 Trench Warfare style (rage quits after all continental allies capitulates).

To play conquests without them is like betraying all your previous work . It is like a football game without star players I guess I can use this phrase to describe myself, "Ignorance is bliss" I've been employing crude conventional warfare, especially Trench Warfare (ironically without the use of Trenches) to wage extra bloody conquests. So far, I've tried to test myself by throwing myself into conquests without my own gens. Maybe I feel a sense of pride for being an average EW6 commander when looking at this "achievement"? 🤔 Maybe I feel more "satisfied" when seeing that B, A or S rank & the 0X gens sign in the conquest win page? Besides, I doubt my free gens can lasts 5 turns if I send them to the front lines. If I were to command Davout, I'd use him like a Samurai/Dynasty Warriors gen - plunging him deep into enemy territory with no support whatsoever to overturn half a continent's worth of enemy progress.

I more and more convinced that killing major enemies makes allies more aggressive. Spain conquered Ireland on their own by turn 30. Never happened with Netherlands. Look at the screens! We can be sure of it only if it happens twice in a row Completed it two times more. 33 turns both. 1. Spain defeated Portugal at turn 10! My allies in Europe were good enough. Killing Russia is not a problem. But as soon as Spain killed Portugal fast they moved to Cornwall in Britain, not to Ireland 2. Spain defeated Portugal at turn 15. And I thought it is a good sign. However they again moved their gens to Cornwall. Both conquests I defeated Russia at turn 30. So I have no idea why Spain decided to change their attack route!?
