It's really a duty, not a toy Exactly, I have been a forum moderator in the past and even "the webmaster" of a forum, maintaining the HTML/CSS coding for layout and appearances. I don't regret the experience but I don't plan to repeat it ever again. Once is enough.  It was back then when I had way too much free time on my hands, but that's not the same now. HTML doesn't require alot of time though. Its good for a little project or two |

HTML doesn't require alot of time though. Its good for a little project or two This old forum was ran by a moderator staff of mostly girls who liked to change the colors and such on a nearly biweekly basis. So you can imagine... Besides I had enjoyed the challenge of it as it was in the early days of CSS before everyone became an expert in swapping skins (or a forum already has a feature built-in). And even if swapping was available, you still have to build a skin from stratch on that forum for the first time usage. Don't forget that the staff was mostly girls who also liked NEW skins? Especially the head mod/admin. On the top of that, I was still also a regular mod maintaining some boards and the staff was very active in writing RPs in addition to their duties. Like I said... it's a period of excessive free time that I had enjoyed in the past. All things shall pass away, remember that, youngling. |
