Playing the More Units Mod (Hint: It does much more than just adding more units) where the discount generals have been buffed. Hood became overpowered as heck since he was given Escort, essentially making him a Sakurako 2.0 Not only that, his stats have been increased and he has now a base TA of 30%, while still starting as a Count and being able to reach King. His price is the same as before and his missions weren't changed at all. What does bagration/john look like

What the mod did is buff their base damage and give them Aura. But Lannes and Hood became OP because a base damage boost and Aura was all they needed.

Tbh I think Hood, Lannes and John are all fairly well balanced generals in the base game. I like the idea of a good general that takes some work to discount, but at the same time isn’t THE best general of the category (Konev) so you’d still have to splurge out to get the best of the best.
Bagration didn’t deserve to be Brown MKII though.

Bagration didn’t deserve to be Brown MKII though. Konev is literally the only gold-tier artillery general that isn't a IAP in WC4. Zhukov doesn't hold a candle to him, therefore the best second artillery is Leeb who needs a lot of investment to become amazing. Also, WC4 is already a game where it is ridiculously tedious and difficult to progress without spending money on medals. Konev not being strong like he is would make the game unnecessarily harder unless Zhukov was the best or there was another gold artillery general that is better than Konev.

Exactly, IF there was a gold artillery general that was better than Konev. That dynamic already exists in that game in the form of Guderian vs Rommel though.

The only US general that is considered amazing is Nimitz. And America has no actual artillery general.

For the arty general, just use George Marshall. He hasn't appeared in an Easytech game as of yet.

Don’t forget how good nimitz and rommel are as well
