Let me explain:
WC3 conquests are the whole world and everything is less magnified.
EW4 conquests is a certain region like America or Europe and everything is more magnified.

There is a blandness to the WC3 conquests. I enjoyed the EW4 conquests very much. Maybe it's because of the graphics or something. WC3 just looks gloomy while EW4 is vibrant.

I rather have multiple small but detailed maps instead of a gigantic map. The only problem would be the missile/air attack spam but such things don't exist in EW4. Smaller maps are also better when you like to use fortresses and artillery

I really enjoy it for WWII and after, but anything before WWII should be the EW4 style conquests.

The best thing in ew4 conquests is you can farm a million times over and over.
Sadly this doesn't happen in wc3

In EW4 you can turn your allies against you! If you dip on into the Random Area you will see how much fun I'm having with that ;^)

Why not both? GOG style with a lot of small,maps and some big ones, + whole world ones Excellent suggestion. GoG has much easier conquests and is a farm paradise. I like to play Operation Barbarossa with Vatutin as starting general (he's the only one on a heavy tank). EW4 is second on my list. I think it's not a surprise nobody voted for WC3 |

If and when (yes, I expect Easytech to make a WWI game) they make a WWI game, I hope they choose EW4 style conquests, but maybe have one world conquest just because. The different conquests could be:
Europe 1914
North Africa and the Middle East 1914 (long name but it could just be called Middle East 1914)
Africa 1914 (Ethiopia and south)
Asia 1914 (Australia up to southern Manchuria)
Europe 1917
Kaiserreich (alternate scenario where Germany has Northern France, Belarus, Baltic states, Ukraine and Belgium. It's then Germany vs the rest of Europe)
N.America 1910 (Germany aids Mexico against America)
S.America 1915 (Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, and Argentina against rest of allied backed S.america)
