Now, I am not familiar much with EW5 but I did play it. A few questions of mine which generals should I aim for? Does Cleopatras rumor have an effect on Static defences? And how/where can be the gold kits obtained, Paladin, Titan etc.

And how/where can be the gold kits obtained, Paladin, Titan etc. Rumor makes the enemy not attack you nor move at all within the duration of the skill and the gold kits can mostly be obtained through trading centres (which you have to pay to build) during empire mode. Although, I see no point in spending 4000 medals on armor early in the game

And how/where can be the gold kits obtained, Paladin, Titan etc. No cleopatras rumor does not affect defenses. Gold kits are very expensive items, so you shouldn’t about the ones you have to purchase. However, you do get paladin armor from the medieval campaign, paladin ring from empire, and paladin boots from discovery, for free. If you build shops, which you should in order to expand your empire, you can find some of the gold items for sale there, but they are around 4500 medals. As for the generals, aim for the ones who benefit your team the most. I’d say save up for the gold and purple ones, but many blue generals such as Edward and Montezuma can help out greatly. It is universally known that Nobunaga is the best starting general, he comes in empire, and after that, get the ones you feel that help out your team the most. Now as for the free generals you get, I can recommend a couple. Barbarossa, he is really good. He is much cheaper to upgrade than alexander, and has great skills: leadership (upgrade this one first), infantry leader, marshal... Alexander: a good tank. Don’t upgrade his individuals skill though as they are too expensive Montezuma: has too many good skills: leadership, cure master, and he even repairs fortifications which can be quite useful to survival in conquest. Cleopatra: a very cheap option for an artillery general. Maxing out her rumor isn’t that expensive, and she can be a great support general. And there are many more. I’d say make the most of your free generals, and then get the expensive ones. Also, expanding your empire will really help out as you can get 320 medals a day at 125 cities.

Oh and regarding generals Nobunaga Oda is the safest one to buy first; he fits in every formation and is one of the strongest in the game.

What about Montezumas Fortification repair trait. Does it effect the HQ center hall, not sure what the name of it is. The object you have to destroy when conquering cities in conquests?

Its a really useful skill in conquest when a wave of enemies attacks a city montezuma is defending, and the fortifications are beaten up

Yes, it is. Fortification, towers, and town centers. The skill repair 115 HP a turn to all in 2 hex range when maxed out.

And it is always active so it is quite powerful. Excellent in defense missions, along with montezumas cure master and leadership. He is an amazing general, too bad he starts out quite weak without the right items
