Just curious. I want to see who is better.
Ney has riding master on Lan. I am still probably going to get Lan just cuz I can.

Right of the bat, Lan’s gets 18% damage from her battle and cavarly ability whereas Ney gets 19%. But Lan does start with level 3 strike, lvl 3 edge, 40% health, and 300 medals cheaper than Ney. So she is one of the best generals in the game price performance wise. Output wise, she is comparable to murat when attacking infantry.
However, like I said Ney will have higher battle ability and riding master going for him. Which would you say is better?

Lan. When Lan reaches emperor, Ney’s advantage on battle ability will fall to 1%. Plus Lan has Surprise Attack which grants at least 8% bonus everywhere.

Lan will have 2 less battle ability than Ney at max rank, so we can say that they are the same in this aspect. Now onto skills: They share Precision Strike, Edge and Plain Ney has Riding Master, which increases overall damage by about 3.5% (crits do 1.35 damage) Lan has Surprise attack, which gives anywhere between 8% (not moving)-12% (moved 1 tile)-20% (moved 5 tiles) damage increase and Maneuver (ignores Fences, which in late game reduce damage by 30%)
LAN wins. Superior output, cheaper price in medals, great starting rank and also a use for medals. The actual question is if we need 3 cavalry generals in our team, and who to pick from Davout-Dabrowski-Lan. Honestly I think Lan is better than Davout.

Lan. Because her Emperor rank and we need some Yin factors in our team. Full men team is so rough

Well I think for cavalry it is Blucher-Murat-Dabrowski-Lan-Ney-Davout-Paget. Still, based on preference. Davout is excellent for tactical gamblers, but for people who don’t like to rely on chances, it’s not that much a great element.

Still, based on preference. Davout is excellent for tactical gamblers, but for people who don’t like to rely on chances, it’s not that much a great element. I agree. I see davout as a very strong general as he has edge riding master station and strike to back his tactics master skill up. He can potentially “one hit kill an enemy,” once he is strong enough and especially with a couple aura buffs. Blucher might deal 180 damage, but davout can deal 140 twice. Thats 280 damage vs 180. If you pretend as though that skill doesn’t exist, he is bagration on steroids. In fact, once I had Davout I felt as though he was so powerful I used him as opposed to Blucher in many scenarios. But for non gamblers, I guess its much smarter to get someone else. Still on the off chance, whenever davout’s tactics master triggers he will outdo every general on the team. You could also shove the +20% crit damage on him and he will be a nuke. In my opinion, I was very impressed when I used him and he was my go to cavarly over blucher.

In campaigns and conquests probably not, I will buff them all and use them like tanks to open he way for my infantry basically

Man I can’t wait to have the time to grind 1798 because I’m excited on having Blucher, Murat, Davout, Lan and Dabrowski all in one game
And also settle the score for that hellish Crimean War Challenge
