To overturn History in this battle, all you need to do is to crush the enemy. Here's the battle plan: 1) Use Davout (or best cav gen) on the leftmost Death's Head Hussar & CHARGE the Confederation (of the Rhine's) forces. Then, Davout will attack the stables & capture it. He can also be used to reinforce Blücher's forces. Lastly, send him to Murat's city. 2) Use your middle RA & Rifflemen to defend Blücher's position. If any inf survive, send them to clear the southern city & the church. The RA should follow group (3) after killing Lannes. 3) Send them to hunt down the group protecting the French RA & move westward from there. After taking the city, move west to attack Murat's city. Note: - Besiege Murat's city to prevent his escape. - The enemy reinforcements in the Northeast can be easily dealt with by the Russian reinforcements but try to ensure Blücher does not die even if you want to leave it to Russia to kill the reinforcements. - Napoleon will attack Blücher's position, usually alone since you would've killed his guards by now. Use this chance to surround the emperor & kill him easily. - Unless you are actually fighting in a city to the far southeast of modern Germany (Ohlstadt), the city ET wanted Blücher to guard may have been a misspelled Auerstädt. (Historically, the battle was fought around mainly another city, but the battle is still named after Auerstädt) - I technically "cheated" with high tech lvls: which allowed me to win with only Davout, Clinton & Gates. Here's a pic of my team to show that I can only rely on 2 Free gens + Davout to get the 3*:

This challenge is easier than Jena (unless you have good inf / arty gens to deploy in Jena) so you should expect an easy 3* in Auerstädt (unless you have a arty-focused team which you cannot utilise easily in Auerstädt).
