The year is supposedly 1943, the Axis had swept through most of Eurasia and Africa, while Japan is preparing to invade Australia.
While the USA prepares for Midway, you're in command of the remaining half of New Guinea and the Northern Territories of Australia.
You have 3 main strategies to follow:
1. Reverse the Empire
Your role is reversing Japan's imperial expansion into Asia-Pacific then invading the Japanese home islands.
Give yourself 15 turns to conquer all the islands in the Southern Pacific in 3 phases.
To conquer Manila/the Philippines, position Crace to bombard the city from afar and IMMEDIATELY send paratroopers in to capture it.
Spam subs from the New Guinea port to defeat Ozawa and any fleet that attacks Australia or is anchored near Borneo and the Philippines.
After taking the islands, it's time to aim for the mainland. Join the war by invading Singapore using the starting Howitzer + Blamey to fire on it from Sumatra then use the two arty to destroy the carrier.
You may invade the southern region of Vietnam + Laos and Cambodia using troops from Borneo.
Invade northward until you enter China.
Spawn some troops in Manila, and use them to surround and capture Taiwan.
Lastly, clean up the Japanese. And prepare to counterattack against the invading European Axis powers.
As you mop up Japan, the Germans, Italians, Finnish, Hungarians and Romanians will sweep through the USSR into China, Mongolia and India. (Bulgaria usually fails at taking cities, but Crimea does stand a chance at becoming Bulgarian territory).
Using 2 cities in China, namely Lanzhou and Chongqing, plus Myanmmar, send 3 Motorised inf lines to hold the Europeans off. Lanzhou is to defend Dihua, Chongqing to Lhasa and Myanmar to New Delhi.
By now, you should have unlocked the ability to build missile silos. Aim to use it to reclaim territories rapidly, destroy extra powerful enemy units (stacked heavy tanks) and to help out Strategy 2.
Any troops in Korea or Manchuria should either reinforce Mongolia or Chita.
Troops stationed in Japan or Taiwan should take the chance to heal up as you prepare for strategy 3.

2. The Horde Goes West
Follow the Mongol Empire's path to invading Europe, excluding attacking via Iran, the Caucasus and the Middle East.
Split your army now into 2 groups, Army group Moscow and Army Group Stalingrad.
Army group Moscow consists of troops in Mongolia or Siberia. Their objective consists of reclaiming Siberia, Mongolia, Minsk, then Moscow and the Baltic States.
Note: Do not directly attack Moscow, try to attack Saratov then Minsk before attacking the ex-Soviet captial
Army Group Stalingrad has to reclaim Central Asia then attack into Europe and the Balkans via Stalingrad.
Note: Avoid Crimea if you're using a Market Garden strategy to enter Europe because knocking out Axis nations is better than focusing on small chunks of an empire unless Crimea can realise this goal.
Army group Stalingrad will eventually face a massive spam and counterattack in the Balkans, especially from Italy, so setting up Fortress Balkans is a priority even if you failed to take out Hungary.
Spam 3X heavy tanks in all your cities except for the nameless Romanian city, Sebastopol and Stalingrad. The exceptions can be guarded with armoured cars or motorised inf.
Reinforce your position with forts.
Extra: If you've a large horde of motorised inf leftover from the defence of New Delhi and Lhasa, save them up for a swift blitz into the Levant.
Attack the Levant only when you've assembled them in striking distance and when the war in the Balkans is raging at an all time high.
When you've dealt with the enemy in the Balkans, conquer Kiev, Minsk then Moscow using Army group Moscow, and Krakow, the Polish Corridor and the Balkans using army group Stalingrad.
The objective is to cut off Moscow, Warsaw and Berlin before directly attacking them.
Conquer Austria, Czechoslovakia and Munich before you enter the Rhine and Milan.
Lastly, just mop up the leftovers.

Strategy 3:
If you completed the extra objective, spawn a heavy tank to guard Damascus and Jerusalem while you conduct Operation Market Garden on North Africa to seize any enemy city with Missile silos or airfields.
The goal is to reduce enemy air support while cutting off Egypt (namely Alexandria and Cairo).
Remember those troops lurking around in Asia? Slowly move them to Southeast Asia then assemble a massive fleet there.
You probably would've spammed some subs or destroyers to halt any Axis attack via the sea but spawn a few more if you feel like you lack firepower.
Now, when you feel that India is preparing to launch a major attack into Africa and the sea is clear enough for an amphibious operation, send the assembled troops to land in Africa.
Land at the tiles right next to where the island where Italian coastal fort was stationed.
Assemble all your troops first then launch a swift attack and capture of Somalia in the same turn using naval bombardment as support.
Note: You may act according to your own situation as well, but what I recommended was to avoid an African version Gallipoli.
You should ONLY conduct this when the European spam is clearing up and that you at least distract the enemy by any means in North Africa or the Mediterranean.

Lastly, mop up the enemy remnants and enjoy your victory!
Note: You may choose to capture the port at Myanmar to end Britain if you feel like Mountbatten and the remnants of the Indian Ocean fleet are not helping in the naval defence of India.
You need very good tech, specifically, inf, tank and navy for this.
