This one I find hard. I can't use Murat or Ney and that makes it real hard to clean up all the units. My art tech is still only max Russian.

Place your best inf gens on the Old guards then advance to the mountain range. Spread your army out and defend against the waves of enemies. Make sure to use your arty, especially RA to deal dmg. Try to gather them in the centre to divide and corner the enemy against the borders of the battlefield. Try to aim for the weakest enemies in the frontlines instead of attacking everyone and flank or surround the enemy. However, do NOT overextend yourself. You need better tech, an inf and arty commander if you want to win.

The other issue is the enemy either outflanking me and attacking the artillery in the back, or the enemy going straight through the hole in my forces... RIP. I tried making a "battle line" spanning from one edge of the map to the other... It kind of worked, and I was able to clear out Blucher, and the Belgians, but by then all my forces were low health or dead, and so I couldn't kill the 700 health general and the general on the assault infantry (whatever their names are...)... Any other tips? I have Massena upgraded, and Alexander the 1st upgraded, saving up for Muhammed the 2nd. 2 ambulances, 2 tents (the ones which give 20 health per turn) 1 Ferguson rifle, and 1 artillery scope... yeah, I also need quick help with the item placement, not sure if I want to boost the artillery/infantry ability by 25/30 and give one ambulance to each of them, or boost their health with an ambulance military tent (the one that gives +20 health) combo, or double ambulance (for Massena) double tent (for Alexander 1st) combo... AND I DON"T KNOW WHAT TECH I SHOULD UPGRADE, ARTILLERY?? Infantry!!! AHHHH, PLS HELP!!!!

Then, the canvas tent (second best healing item) should go to arty gens or second best melee gens. Mahmud II is a must for optimum arty dmg dealt. As for the hole, either swap out or sacrifice weakened units from the front. For tech, first focus on light inf, then light arty, and both cav last. I'd recommend at least clearing Britain before you try again. If you can clear the Anglo-Mexican War, your gens and tech lvls should be high enough.

I was playing this challenge a little while ago, and I finally beat it!!!! The trick is to bait some of the frontal Prussian forces. Essentially, you want to have an echelon formation (look it up), with the weaker units facing the first wave of Belgians. Your line should lean towards the Belgians, and make sure that all your artillery is protected, and that your infantry generals/units are ready to pick off the small Prussian waves that will come towards you. Eventually, Blucher will come to you after all his "escort" forces are destroyed. He hits like a truck literally, so you'll want to use meat shields to protect your artillery while simultaneously bombarding him. An importantn thing to note is that you DO NOT want to attack with your regular units. This policy will conserve their health, only attack when you need to ie and enemy unit is blocking the way etc. Anyways... once your artillery (only use artillery) kills Blucher, you'll want to ignore the Belgians and move slowly into the top middle of the map. The same thing will happen... The Prussians should come in small waves, this time however, you need to ignore them and kill the 700 health Gniesinau. Distractions are key here, because the sheer number of enemies will completely cut off attack access to the objectives. Thusly, it is important for you to have at least some regular (non-generals) units to lure the Belgian and Prussian forces to the left hand side of the map (where your units spawned). While they are distracted, you MUST quickly eliminate Stienmetz before the timer runs out (you get 16 turns exactly). Anyways, I'm sure it will be easier for you guys since you probably have better generals and tech. I was forced to use Murat to complete this so... Just come back later with MAX tech and things should be much easier.
