Does anyone have a guide or anything to help with Portugal in 1812? I manage to keep the Spanish alive and push the French back as well as win on the American front but eastern Europe always falls so quickly that I give up because of the huge enemy army that's steamrolling every city. I find it impossible to keep Sweden alive and once they fall then Prussia just gets destroyed and so does Russia and at that point the enemy's are too strong

Does anyone have a guide or anything to help with Portugal in 1812? I manage to keep the Spanish alive and push the French back as well as win on the American front but eastern Europe always falls so quickly that I give up because of the huge enemy army that's steamrolling every city. I find it impossible to keep Sweden alive and once they fall then Prussia just gets destroyed and so does Russia and at that point the enemy's are too strong If you can keep Egypt and/or Sweden alive, then you're good. Just donate your unneeded gold and don't waste them on unnecessary units. Having one infantry and cavalry general is good enough. Send a few units to Algeria so you can capture some cities for added income, and you can send some forces to Egypt if need be. Russia will probably lose, but it can hold out for a while. Also, pay Prussia twice so they can enter 4 turns earlier, which can make a difference. Just keep donating your resource to Sweden so they can hold out, and once they are able to capture one or 2 cities of the Danes, then donate to Egypt. Great Britain will be there to help later on, so it should be fine. Your win condition here is to simply keep Sweden and Egypt alive long enough for the Brits to send a large troop to Mainland Europe. This keeps the Ottoman and Naples from focusing all their forces against Austria(if they haven't lost yet) and Russia, and it distracts the Danes. Sweden just loses to Denmark if you don't donate to Sweden frequently enough.
