Hi, I'm having trouble completing this. French reinforcements wont stop spawning and I dont have the time nor the manpower to capture Madrid before the game ends. Any tips or tricks, thanks in regard.

Any tips or tricks, thanks in regard. Take the city on the right first, and after that this would become a war of attrition. Try not to directly the city where Joseph is, since the city would be hard to siege. If you have 2 artillery gens tho, you can do this, but make sure to protect them all the way. If not, try to destroy the enemy artillery first. Send some units to capture your ally Spain city once they aren't able to defend it. Alternate between sieging and attacking units, but a rule of thumb is to use you cavalry gens to clear enemy units, use your infantry units to surround the city(to prevent the enemy from escaping) then just siege it using your artillery gens. This challenge rely more on the strength of your generals, since the last city takes around 3 turns to capture if you have a strong gen. Possible to do without strong gens, but you would probably have to reset a lot to get the ideal situation. |

My preferred start is in the first round, upgrade city's level and grab a Rocket Artillery for your best arti gen (IMO its way better than Field Artillery). Second turn, upgrade it again, and with it, you can buy another tank for your other Cavalry gen, it's like it was thought to be done this way, as resources exhaust almost completely (10 gold left from 1500) when doing this. Remember folks, get the best troops posible for your gens, got 3 stars thanks with this start.

If not, my strategy (might not work for you because I had Murat, Dabrowski, Mahmud, etc.) was to divide my forces into two groups, one to defend the upper city, and one to capture the French city in the lower right hand corner. If that doesn't work for you, then go for Madrid first, deploy princess, and wait it out. You should be able to capture the city if you plan strategically by capturing all the enemy's artillery factories and cavalry stables so they can't produce any units, and then capturing Madrid. Anyways... I'm sure you've probably beaten this level by now, but if not, good luck! |
