Greetings to you all, here's another guide I made. Recently, I have noticed how many people have not explored focusing in Asia before invading the soviet union as a NATO country, and before trying that strategy out I wanted to even see if a NATO counterattack approach by a low economy country was even possible. The best pick was Australia, and I started it out and used Yamashita, Nimitz, Kuznetsov, Guderian, Konev, Rommel, Arnold and Rokossovsky(in order). Rommel, arnold and roko were really there to help the conquest go faster, but without them(and perhaps even without navy generals) this conquest may still be manageable. Medium technology is a minimum, and the slight spam is not for the faint-hearted! Ok here goes,
How to Invade Thailand and Not Even Invade Vietnam(well i stole it from the french hehehe)
In order to prevent thailand from falling to your allies so that you can have a close by level 3 industry city to spawn heavies and rocket artillery, you must move as quickly as possible with all your troops, and maximise efficiency by sending slower troops to occupy ports. To ensure this I got Yamashita on a commando in turn 1 and used him to speed towards thailand, securing the landing of my other troops. I also paratrooped taiwan and hanoi for income xD. This is the easiest part of the conquest, the calm before the strom. To prepare for this, spawn your navy generals if you have them and send them up towards china, and spawn your tank gen and artillery gen. This is where the going gets tough.
Blue Versus Red, Who will Win?
After Australia I played as the UK and did my main approach from asia too, and I started to realise the complete lack of allied help. It was tough and my generals almost got annihilated, but I won that conquest fairly easily(will do a guide on that next haha). As australia UK is of massive help to your invasion of PRC. Push your stronger generals towards the capitals of china, and your other troops to accompany slim in the invasion of western china. The doctrine I utilised was good ol' holding out, where I took a city using the sheer force of yamashita in a jungle damage, with guderian and konev soon to follow to deal over 700 damage to a city, before spawning a light infantry or armoured car to hold it out while my units clear the spam, before moving on again. Whilst doing so the USSR might send a few double stacked heavy tanks at you, but it is the mongolians you must fear as they send spam after spam at you. I had to speed up as fast as I can to defeat Mongolia before the spam pushed my advance back. I stole a few japanese cities for more income, and after china was done I sent my generals west while my mechanized infantry made short work of Siberia.
Hey whats that strange spam at the bottom left corner of the photo...?
If you have not noticed, turkey fell way long ago, and the other nations are scrambling towards you. That is where some of your troops should be going to defeat them, I used rommel and arnold for this purpose.
Blue Versus Light Red, You will Win!
The rest of the conquest of the worn out USSR and the balkans is a breeze. No need to elaborate. To be honest this was a rather fun conquest as I got to see Yamashita dish out insane damage amounts for the first time in a long while. Well, that's it, if ya have any questions feel free to ask, until then.
