Move almost your entire fleet and the heavy tank south to recapture the 3 ports and destroy Nagano and Nagumo. The carrier and (later) one destroyer will help our allies with Yamaguchi and the objectives in the north east. Also bring along one light infantry to capture the NW city and don't let it die to bombers from carriers. Once the ports are taken back leave some units there to defend against the enemy's push while sending your strongest ships to sink Yamamoto.
Immediately put the heavy tank in the water and and don't let it be attacked by the enemy submarines. Sink Nagumo as soon as possible. The coastal artillery I built proved to be rather useless
The double stacked destroyer returns north and an additional cruiser is construsted to help against the subs. In the south, one port is already recaptured and the Americans managed to hold on to the SE one. The heavy tank is about to disembark and take back the SE city.
Third port under control and I managed to fully surround Nagano and one of the Rumor generals was succesful. A strong counter attack is about to hit the central island port.
Block the enemy destroyers so the can't damage the newly produced submarines too much (and so they can't flank them either). The heavy tank moves in to take the central island city and help against the many destroyers. The double stacked destroyer and sub plus any sub that can be spared move around the island to eliminate the carrier and then Yamamoto.
In the meantime, our allies have made good progress in the north. Keep the light infantry about 6 hexes away from the NW island until most of the carriers and other defending units are gone.
Yamamoto about to get destroyed. Also, the central island is taken and the push has been mostly defended.
Terauchi gone but the Japanese took back the port in the NW.
Yamamoto is no more, the heavy tank helps against the remainig ships and our fleet's main targets are now the two carriers to guarantee a save trip for the light inf.
