You're close to Rome. Caesar thinks he can just capture you and focus on the Britons. Not today. Noricum, a rather funny name, is a Celtic tribe that is afraid that Rome would eventually capture it. Fortunately, in this game, you can help them capture Rome instead, with the help of your other Celtic buddies. As usual, i'll be using 1 cavalry gen(Antony) and 1 infantry gen(Pompey). I used Hannibal and Vercingetorix for my first try of the conquest. Hannibal lived to fight another day, while Vercingetorix died just a turn before Rome was conquered.
We receive 162 economy, 20 industry and 8 culture. We have 400 economy, 200 industry and 100 culture at the start. That means we can only bribe twice the first round.
We are given 2 light cavalries, 1 bowman, 1 marksman, 1 heavy infantry, 1 heavy cavalry, and 1 Noricumic general on a marksman
. Place your Cavalry gen on the heavy cavalry and infantry gen on the heavy infantry. There may be arguments that it's better to place the cavalry gen on one of the light cavalry, but i prefer having more power for now, and clear the path to rome as fast as possible by destroying cities faster. Heavy cavalry is also tankier than light cavalry, and the fact that we conquer rome means we can replenish the heavy cavalry later on. Move your light cavalry first to scout the fog of war. Move your infantry gen to scout too. Move your cavalry gen to attack Aquileia. Blast it if you want. As for the bribes, bribe Averni and Scordisci.
Capture Aquileia. Don't be alarmed by the enemy Antony. He won't be much of a threat.
Now, time to Mauretania. Keep paying them until you get them to enter the war on your side. Now, the strategy is to capture Rome. Here are the paths you take (Yellow is hannibal's path with atleast one more unit. Black is everyone else):
That's it. Now, most of the time Egypt dominates Asia, sometimes they don't. Sometimes Pompey conquers Spain, sometimes they don't. Just adapt to the situation, but follow my advice and path to take( You can try to do something different, and post your results here). Also, as to why this guide is shorter than my previous ones, here is my answer:
Anyway, here is the post screen screenshot of my victory:
(real reason for the shorter guide is hangover )
