Yes this one is annoying. Listen well to Obi Wan Talleyrand. The most important thing is that your southern army does not go immediately into battle. Focus on Torino and Milano. Keep your cannons ready. Now put some line infantry around it. Target 1 will attack it, surround him with everything you got and annihilate his army. Do not go and kill Radetzky, he will come to YOU. Just shoot with all your cannons, surround him, flank him, kill him. Your northern army has to focus on Deroy (I think that is the name of the upper gen), take Munich with some help of Southern army. I accomplished it long ago with 5 stars. 1 vital thing is the assembling of the northern and southern army.

If you kill Deroy in the north, he says something about not wanting to fight anyway and then the enemy has low morale. It's pretty funny to me.

Kate had no health left but after this her artillery became actually useful besides of shooting marshmellows
