He is NOT this Nicholas I. Though I wish. I agree. Basically a mix of Davout and Murat's best skills.

Nevertheless, the EW6:1914 version doesn’t look bad. And he is free! Edit: Oops, this is the Nicholas I of Montenegro. It’s not a different version, it’s a different person.

A bit ridiculous that people are giving him 3/5s. He’s an emperor and has plain and assault. And people are giving Haig 5/5s! And I do agree that Haig is great. I’m not sure if I’m even going to bother with infantry auras given that infantry is so bad in general.

Yeah, he's a really good free general with pretty good skills. He's good support for a aura general like MacArthur or Petain and direclty replaces Grant. 4/5 (Would be 5/5 if Grenadiers were more readily available)

Sometimes it is not what we like, but what it is given to us I am pretty sure there will be some tricky missions (or even conquests) when we don't have anything at our disposal but mere infantry... I think developers tend to force us to create an all-around team. I already noticed that Admirals are far more important here, than it was the case in 1806... And I personally bought Beatty already. I never did before in in EW or WC series. So, I wouldn't exclude the usefulness of some Infantry generals either.

Well, it’s easier to make a strong roster in this game compared to other ET games, given that some of the free generals are top-tier and that there are some really good generals that cost coins such as MacArthur and Horne.

I can say more... It is possible to hire all generals you like in this game. The rewards are really awesome. I am playing less than a week and already have 4 medal champions. It was unheard of in previous games!

Replace tunnel with inf commander and you will have the best aura general in the game. Really great defense (alert + emperor) mixed with great offensive power (aura, assualt, plain fighting, emperor rank, great battle ability). A petain junior

Aura is still great as a individual bonus. This guy is miles better than Grant.

I don’t intend on perfecting him, though, because I feel that generals with 5 skills and high battle ability are better.

He is NOT this Nicholas I. Though I wish. I just realize something he is not Nicolas I(Tsar of all Russia)that you mean but he is Nicolas I(Prince&King of Montenegro) Anyway he looks good I would place him in my reserve slots. While wait for update on IOS.

Like Nicholas I with some like Boroevic would be really powerful. I agree with the 5 skill slots. But economically speaking, this guy would be a great pick.
