This is what I did on my first time on this campaign. - Play defensively in the north. Try to hold Burgos until the British troops come. Then there should be no problem in the north - Attack from the south. Capture Albacete and the industry nearby. From there, build artillery to bombard Madrid. - If you have Sophia, use her to take out the forts nearby madrid. - If your generals are not strong, avoid taking Madrid directly. Just use artillery. - While you are sieging on Madrid with artillery, send other generals to take Zaragoza. - If you have trouble fighting French generals then just ignore them, focus on taking targeted towns. Use Line Infantry to defend the towns.

Hi all, I got some good tips for this level upon help which I asked here on the forum and got help from kanue :-) well, I quite much modified it and went like this, in the start u have two army groups, one at burgos and the southern at seville, abandon seville with all divisions and bring all these south, the british will have to fight with ney, soult, and the other cavalry general and in this way you can easily raid the remaining cities DO NOT TOUCH MADRID AT ANY COST, in south u have your main strategy, raid albecete and zaragoza quickly and start making units, just put a militia for valencia and later from there make a frigate, along with the frigate send some force to barcelona, kill massena if he comes, and in the end get madrid

Replaying the game a second time, and for some reason I cannot beat this mission. The above tips/strategies did not work, so any new advice is much appreciated. Also, my generals are Kate, Sophia, Fatmia and Sulkowski.

Try to defend in the north. Keep that general on the city and bomb the incomming frenchies out with your artillery.
Move slowly to the right in the south. Use your general(s) on this front. Ignore madrid.
Surround the french general at albacete and then move to zaragoza. Capture madrid at last as with barcelona.
Barcelona may be tricky but a horse can bump in.
An artillery general may come handy though..
