With the new Conquest Challenges such as turn limits for different level nations, completing them faster is essential. I am certainly not a speed demon and ask for recommendations, tips, advice, suggestions, how to make initial investments, etcetera on how to best go about it.
Srategically spread territories of certain countries are certainly an advantage since transportation is slow across places like Siberia, Africa, Middle East and oceans. And hot spots are always Europe and Pacific Rim no matter which nation you choose. So, countries like France, U.K., Netherlands which have territories in more than one theater of conflict/continent is a no brainer.
Tips on when and where to deploy Gens., how to invest, if at all, and such are important i guess and any guidance will be appreciated. Btw, i just tried the two star in 25 rounds challenge with China finishing in 30. Yep, i hit the wrong button a couple times but think i still would not have finished within the required 25 rds for 2 star challenge. Meanwhile i may try the one star with Netherlands.

Canada would probably be the easiest 2 star nation. You spawn with a few good (elite) units and a solid economy. If you have the transport airplane you can paratroop into spain (m7 priest) on turn 2. This gives you a foothold into europe (the small spanish city has a factory too, so you can get a tank gen on an elite unit there as soon as you cap it). You can slowly snowball across italy and the balkan, before dealing with germany. The pacific front is somewhat easier. You have to simply cross the ocean and cap the northern part of japan. You spawn with a few ships, they can cap harbors and knock tokyo's city-defenses. From here one the process is the same: lowly spread across japan and eastern asia. The one icky part is japan capturing some distant harbor,be wary of that :')

Thanks, and one last question please.... Do you bother investing into tech, city productions, or improvements for the turn limited challenges, at all?
I use sound tactics but seems I have to change focus/strategy for these speedruns.
The Pacific theater is mainly Just Japan, as Thailand is easily subdued by UK. So, landing/parachuting onto Japan and capturing main cities will kneecap it at sea and mainland. An Air Gen in Tokyo should be Japan's death knell. So I can see why Canada is a good suggestion also. China did well vs Japan in my hands but getting to Europe in time was my handicap.

I tend to not invest in cities at all. Most of my cities are mainly used to paratroop into other cities, or to maybe spawn a general on an elite unit (which you can do with basically all level 1 factory cities). The ai tends to build research stations and what-not in the cities they own, so you can simply expand your production by capturing enemy cities. The one thing I see myself building is an airport so I can capture cities that aren't in reach of others. I do like to build the special buildings, par example the one that gives a 100% technology boost, but they are not a must per se. Income gens do help, especially in the early game. I use dowding for this but arnold could work too. Other than that I like the airplane research. This is mostly for the end-game of your speedrun. It has an upgrade that gives paratroopers +2 range, which can make or break your game depending on the few final cities that are left. You can par example use it to paratroop onto hawaii from the philippines. Anyhow long story short; for speedruns I dont upgrade cities; for funsies I do ^-^

I invest little in laboratory to satisfy the tech hunger elite forces, in hospital to sustain units guarding coastal cities and in airport of the cities my AF generals stationed in.
